Job Description:
A Senior ICT Business Analyst plays a critical role in liaising between the technology department and business stakeholders to ensure that technology solutions align with business needs. The analyst conducts thorough examinations of IT systems and business models to improve efficiency and productivity. This involves evaluating options for new and existing IT solutions to enhance operations, data management, and integration with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:
This is an end-to-end Business Analyst role including the following responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Requirement Gathering

    • Engage with stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate these
      into technical requirements with the help of documentations.
    • Conduct workshops, interviews, and brainstorming sessions to elicit functional and
      non-functional requirements.
    • Translate business needs into clear, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
    • Prepare documentation, including user manuals, reports, and presentations, to
      support decision-making processes.
    • Ensure continuous support and enhancements post-implementation.

  • Process Analysis

    • Analyse and map current business processes and identify areas for improvement.
    • Define target state processes and assist in process reengineering where necessary.
    • Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and define future-state operating models.

  • Collaboration with Development & Testing Teams

    • Work closely with developers and QA teams to clarify requirements and support
    • implementation.
    • Ensure that test cases align with business requirements and facilitate UAT (User
      Acceptance Testing).
    • Collaborate with IT teams like developers, testing team, Project management team
      etc to design, test, and implement solutions that meet business objectives
    • Responsible for meeting new clients to ensure our services can be offered and
      implemented in a profitable manner.
    • Work closely with finance, technology, and operational teams to drive change.
      Ensure governance, compliance, and regulatory considerations are met.

  • Required Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification, or at least five years of relevant experience may
      substitute for the formal qualification (NZQCF Level 7-10).
    • Proven experience in process mapping
    • 5+ years demonstrated experience in business analysis methodologies, such as
      requirements gathering, process modelling, and stakeholder engagement
    • 3+ years demonstrated knowledge of agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban, and
      experience in iterative and incremental development processes and ways of working
    • Hands-on experience with payment processing, transaction flows, and industry
      standards
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
